Today’s Lunch: Wings of Fire              

 The Forman Valley Library will be hosting a pumpkin decorating contest on Thursday, October 27th from 6-7:30pm. Registration is required, so stop by the Forman Valley Library, give them a call, or send them an email to sign-up.

 Do you like to write? Are you interested in becoming an author someday? Join Miss Shaffer in the library in November to celebrate National Novel Writing Month. The challenge: sit down and write for 30 days to create your own story. There will be an informational meeting in the library tomorrow during the last 15 minutes of 5B. If you have any questions, please see Miss Shaffer in the library.

 The Spanish Club is hosting a Day of the Dead celebration this Friday from 6-8 in the cafeteria. Learn more about Day of the Dead and create some art (including cookies) related to it. Free!

 We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week this week! The goal of Red Ribbon Week is to bring awareness to the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.  There will be activities during the lunch periods including a kickball tournament and a scavenger quiz.  These are the dress up days:

Thursday – Drugs aren’t groovy – wear your favorite tie dye/hippie attire

Friday – Show your support for Red Ribbon Week  - wear red
