Hello Raiders,
This is a reminder that we need to have health records for all students (remote and in-person) by October 15th. As of today we will have to exclude students from school beginning October 16th if we do not have the appropriate records. This is a state law we have to comply with. If you have questions or need to speak with someone, please call your student's school and ask to speak to the nurse.

The Manito-Forest City Rotary Club purchased 420 water bottles for MCPS. The need for water bottles is largely due to limitations for drinking fountains because of COVID. The money came from Project Kids that the rotary club sponsors through donations from the community and the club.
Thanks you Rotary Club, we really appreciate this kind gesture!

Mr. Waibel’s class has been working hard on learning the ‘parts of a book’ like who the author and who the illustrator is and our kids got to make their own books today! They had a lot of fun and I sure do see a lot of future writers!

The Mason County Health Department will be at all 3 schools on October 22nd for a flu shot clinic. This will be for students and staff. More details about the clinics will be available closer to the date.

Officer Cowzer stoped by to say hi to some primary school students. They were so excited to see him!

On this night 19 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 9:40 AM Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. Consider taking a moment of silence today to remember and honor the lives we lost 19 years ago.

Ms. Dougherty and Ms. Vaughn’s class read “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” and put their letters on the coconut tree.

Students at the Primary School are #RaiderStrong and working toward cookies and milk this month with our PBIS theme of We Are Strong!

Hello Raiders,
I just wanted to pass along this information provided by CassComm. Currently, there are free open WiFi access points at the locations listed below on the link. There are 2 in Manito, 2 in Forest City, 1 in Goofy Ridge and 1 at Spring Lake. Please use the link below to find the spot closest to you. Normally these are only available to CassComm customers, but they have generously opened them up for anyone to access the internet during this time of pandemic. We'd like to thank CassComm for their generous donation to our communities.

It’s Friday....don’t forget to wash your masks this weekend!

Check out these focused learners in Mr. Hopkins first grade class.

Good Morning Raiders,
I've been contacted by the Census Bureau to get the word out about taking the Census. Currently, our district completion numbers are pretty low compared with other areas. I know these types of things are a pain, but the future funding of the district will be greatly impacted by our responses. Please take a couple of minutes to complete this, so we can continue to provide the many great programs we have for our students. Oh, and tell your family, friends, and neighbors to do the same! https://my2020census.gov/
Thank you,
Dr. Todd Hellrigel

3rd Grade Book Tasting looked slightly different than years past but was a HUGE hit to entice our Raider Readers with new texts they will experience throughout their school year. Thank you to Ms. Coile, Ms. Deluhery, and Ms. Simkins for altering their typical plans to make this event happen!

Lately we have seen just how resilient our staff and students are. Check out a couple pics of Raiders practicing new procedures for staying safe. These are lunchroom, PE, and Music. We could not be more proud of how awesome everyone is doing with these changes!
