The Raiders Wrestling squad traveled to Peoria Heights Thursday night. They defeated the Patriots 56-11!!!
Jesse Jones started off the Varsity matches by pinning his opponent!
Jake Mitchell added a win with his first career tech-fall!
Liam Zimmerman started his season with a pair of pins for the night.
John Payne battled hard and earned his first pin of the season.
Leelinn Danner fought hard all three periods scoring the last second takedown to win the match by one point! He followed by pinning his next opponent.
Cole Beebe had his first pin this season!
Richard Gilmore added another pin to his collection this year.
Maddy Moore (1st career win!), Kaci Eller, Bocephus Schnoor, Mason Coile, and Kamden Merrill also helped secure wins for the team.
The squad travels to Springfield this Saturday for the CICC Tournament.

Congratulations to Josh Dawe and Malachi Carroll on being named to the Peoria Heights Thanksgiving Tournament All-Tournament Team!
Malachi delivered a standout performance this week, highlighted by his 31-point game against Midland.
Josh earned this honor for the second consecutive year, showcasing his consistency and leadership on the court.
Raiders clamp down on the Timberwolves 67 - 52.
Behind the hot shooting of Malachi Carroll and a great team effort on Friday night, the Raiders picked up their first victory of the season 67 - 52 over Midland on a chilly Friday night in Peoria Heights. Anthony Edwards was not in attendance for the Timberwolves and that would have been their only chance to hang with the Raiders.
Carroll led the way with a career high 31 points. Josh Dawe poured in 15 points of his own along with 6 rebounds. Freshman Joe Proehl also had a solid night with 11 points and 5 Assists.
The Raiders will continue play in the Peoria Heights tournament tomorrow night at 6:30, weather permitting.
