During last school year, Mrs. Monica Charlton inquired with MCHS administration about the possibility of getting Mr. Bob Skaggs an honorary seat on the bleachers similar to the ones that already exist. MCHS reserves this honor for individuals who are selected to the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Upon learning this Mrs. Charlton went to work compiling a history of Mr. Skaggs dedication of supporting athletics at Forman High School and Midwest Central High School. Mr. Skaggs has been a regular supporter of athletics in our community for over 60 years. He can recall some of the greatest teams and greatest games that have had anything to do with Forman/MCHS. Mrs. Charlton submitted Bob's history to the IBCA and we are proud to announce that Bob Skaggs has been included in the 2025 Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame Class as a Friend of Basketball. His dedication and support to youth athletics deserves the highest recognition that a supporter of Basketball can receive. On Tuesday January 7th , 2025, Midwest Central High School will officially unveil Bob's new permanent seat in the gymnasium between the JV and Varsity games against Olympia. We hope that you can join us that evening to celebrate a fan that has meant so much to generations of players. Bob is the 9th member of the IBCA Hall of Fame to come from Forman/MCHS. He joins the following individuals: Frances Brenner, Evamae Peplow, Kathryn "Kak" Marshall, Betty Smith, Darrell Hilst, Annabelle Proehl, Loren Meeker, and Dale Burks
