The Varsity Lady Raiders defeated Porta 9-2 on Monday, thanks to five runs in the second inning. The big inning consisted of singles by Alexis Highland, Karsyn Skaggs, and Isabella Passmore, and a sac fly by Kloe Norris. Isabella Passmore was the winning pitcher for the Lady Raiders, going seven innings while allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out nine and walking zero. The Lady Raiders totaled 12 hits. Karsyn Skaggs, Alexis Highland, Leah Boehm, Jaden Watts, and Olivia Lewis all had multiple hits for the Raiders. Lewis, Watts, Boehm, Highland, and Skaggs each manages two hits to lead the Lady Raiders. The Raiders play again today with a varsity game at Riverton. Good luck ladies!
The Varsity Lady Raiders had no trouble on offense on Saturday, winning big over El Paso-Gridley by the score of 11-2. They pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning when Grace Smith doubled, scoring one run, Isabella Passmore singled, scoring one run, and Karsyn Skaggs singled, scoring two runs. The Lady Raiders notched four more runs in the sixth inning, lead by walks by Macy McLaughlin, Jaden Watts, Olivia Lewis, and Grace Smith. Isabella Passmore pitched the Lady Raiders to victory. The hurler went seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits and striking out nine. The Lady Raiders totaled eight hits. Grace Smith, Isabella Passmore, and Leah Boehm each collected two hits to lead the Lady Raiders.

The annual Easter Meal that we prepared today at all the schools was a huge success. The menu was spiral baked ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner rolls and homemade apple crisp. Some of the primary school students even said this was their favorite meal ever!

Ms. Lee took a group of students to the ICC Health Career Experience at ICC north campus. They had hands on exposure to many areas of the health career field: radiology, physical therapy assistant, occupational therapy assistant, surgical technician, CNA, and Laboratory Science. Our Raiders represent MC well!!!
The 2022 After Prom Event will be held at the RiverPlex in Peoria following Prom on Saturday, April 30. Students will be able to participate in a variety of activities, including Gladiator Joust, swimming, 9 Square in the Air, volleyball tournament, Kan Jam, Spike Ball, canvas painting, variety of card games and board games, basketball, and more. We will have plenty of food and beverages available at NO COST to students! At the end of the evening, we will have a free raffle give-a-way!
