The Pekin Elks Lodge #1271 and the Elks National Foundation will again sponsor the "Most Valuable Student" Scholarship. Scholarship for interested seniors planning to attend a college or university next fall The MVS Scholarship is open to High School Seniors who are US citizens graduating the spring of 2023. A total of 500 scholarships worth $2.44 million are awarded nationally. You do not have to be a member of the Elks. The deadline is November 11th, 2022. Please see Mrs. Harbourn if you have any questions!

With the Popcorn Festival over and the Dime Toss being a success once again, the Rotary Club would like to thank everyone for their help, donations and participation! All the proceeds will go to our High School Seniors in the form of scholarships. By the way....we would be happy take any extra glasses and mugs you have laying around off your hands! Over the weekend, the HS volleyball team was excited to be a part of the Green Valley Parade for their 150th celebration!!
The girls tossed out mini volleyballs, candy, passed and set with each other as we walked, blasted music, and performed some of their ACE cheers for the crowd!
We all had such a blast representing MCHS Sports in the community that supports us so much!

This just in:
Tazewell County will be doing road work on Toboggan Road between Route 29 and Jacobs Road (Tazewell/Mason County Line) beginning tomorrow morning (Friday 8/26) through next Wednesday (8/31/2022). The road will be down to one lane during business hours most days and slight delays should be expected. Please plan your trips to work and school accordingly. Extra time should be factored into your trips.
